A few hours before the host bid deadline, Mister X revealed they would be contending against Saint Monkey to host the 122nd WorldVision Song Contest.
Many expected that Saint Monkey would be granted hosting by default, however they now must wait as a vote will now be made on who will be hosting the contest. Josef Andetrop, a well-known horror director in Saint Monkey and the director and production executive for the contest, if Saint Monkey host, posted on social media that they were expecting to "begin preparations. Then we saw the host bid from Mister X. Either way, we were expecting some competition and it's a good thing. I can't wait to find out who will be hosting in one week."
If Mister X was to win, the contest would be hosted in the city of Majorium, the second largest city in Mister X and one of the fastest growing. It would be hosted in the impressive May Arena, fitting 50,000 people, meaning it could fit around 71% of Orangamonk's population! The city has already hosted the contest before, all the way back in WorldVision 77. In fact, Mister X as a whole has hosted a whole 4 times, their experience being something that could give them the edge over Saint Monkey. Furthermore, bringing the classic Mister Xian graphics package will excite long lasting fans and delegations if the contest would be hosted here.
So, who will host? Saint Monkey or Mister X? Well, in around a week, we will soon know who will be hosting the next edition of the world's largest song contest.
